Lessons form the previous day. Wrap up with layers. Pack an emergency foil blanket. It can get cold quickly. Prepare for all eventualities. 

Training ride with Giles

Chamonix Valley

Wicked descent from Les Contamines, St Gervais toward Passy.

First climb was the D13 Route de Servoz. Tres scenic road. 

La Fontaine to Vaudagne. Double grippy.

Temperature control

Les Hauches to Chamonix. Tunnel. Cross-country skiing at side of road.

RB getting cold. Especially the hands. Cafe stop. Too long at cafe stop. Giles suddenly got cold. Foil blankets. 

Top top: be prepared... always pack a foil blanket
